Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Representative with a passion for games and digital media to join our Commercial Team in Amsterdam. The Business Development Representative is a critical component of Newzoo's go-to-market strategy and the first step on a path to a commercial career with Newzoo. This is a ground-floor opportunity in which you will gain experience in different commercial fields, including business development, client success, and sales operations.

You will be the first point of contact for Newzoo’s prospects. You will identify and qualify all incoming opportunities and proactively reach out to leads that fit Newzoo's ideal customer profile. Once a prospect is identified, it will be your job to understand the prospect's needs and start the sales process.

You will also gain experience working directly with our clients. You will provide support and assistance to client contacts requesting help with the use of the Newzoo Platform, answer general questions about our data and services, and identify opportunities for increasing client relationships through support and upselling new services. You will also be responsible for demoing and closing data solutions to Newzoo's small business tier.

Finally, you will be a source of improvement for the overall commercial pipeline. You will help spot areas of improvement and implement changes to increase sales efficiency. You will proactively design and run informational and commercial campaigns in the Newzoo Platform using Intercom integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up and qualify incoming leads through the website, Platform, chat, phone, or email and proactively reach out to prospects that fit our ideal customer profile.
  • Close new business and renew existing client agreements for Newzoo's Small Business tier.
  • Provide support and respond directly to client inquires on data and platform navigation.
  • Engage customers through interactive campaigns and messaging to increase adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Book appointments for the senior business development team and prepare meetings for important prospects by drawing up insights into their situation and needs.
  • Liaise with other departments to share client feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Become an expert on our platform and learn about our market, customers, and company.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the esports, games, and mobile markets.


Profile

  • MSc degree in Economics, Market Research, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Flawless Japanese & English (written and spoken).
  • A passion for digital media and entertainment in general—games and esports, in particular.
  • Ambitious for a career in sales, driven by goals and personal development.
