Employment Type Full-Time
Minimum Experience Mid-level

Newzoo is the global leader in games and esports analytics and research. We are looking for a talented consumer insights analyst to be the voice of the consumer within the company. Creating and presenting actionable consumer insights for our clients is one of your core activities. As a Consumer Insights Analyst, you will work together with companies such as Wargaming, Google, and Nvidia—making sure their business decisions are fueled and supported by meaningful and data-driven consumer insights in a visually appealing way. Your daily tasks will include leveraging both our syndicated and custom consumer research to scope and create consumer insights reports that are easy to comprehend and interpret by higher management at the client’s side and engaging with clients during calls. Additionally, you will train other analysts (junior and mid-level) within the consumer research and insights team, helping them grow and improve their skills in reporting and distilling key consumer insights.

Your Responsibilities

  • Scoping the consumer insights reports with clients and being able to manage the client through the process of reporting;
  • Running client analyses and creating client-facing presentations based on custom analysis of the data in a graphically appealing manner;
  • Summarizing actionable insights and highlighting recommendations by telling compelling stories;
  • Analyzing and understanding data from various sources, including our primary consumer research in 30 countries/markets, as well as our other syndicated studies (e.g., peripheral brand tracker and game brand tracker). Our syndicated data sources have no secrets for you as you will have a clear overview of what is available;
  • Pro-actively grab opportunities by suggesting hot topics that are missing, and improve our syndicated researches;
  • Having a principle understanding of how our consumer research and datasets are set-up and its advantages and limitations;
  • Being aware of the latest trends in consumer insights and the impact on our business;
  • Able to work on several projects simultaneously, under certain time pressure.

Your Profile

  • 2-3 years' relevant work experience;
  • MSc degree (Market Research, Psychology, Marketing Intelligence, or something similar);
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to answer client questions independently using statistically sound advice based on the available data;
  • Experience with data analysis tools;
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment, have a critical and analytical mindset, excellent social skills, and are excited to look for new ways to improve our research methodology;
  • A clear affinity with the Internet and digital media. A strong interest in video games in particular is a plus;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Intellectually curious and creative problem solver;
  • Strong analytical writing and presenting skills in English (fluent);
  • Nice-to-have skills: experience with using R (or similar programming languages);
  • We love quirks! If you have unique interests or talents, we will work them into your personal development;
  • Must already be living in the Netherlands, preferably in or near Amsterdam.

Our Offer

  • Full-time job overlooking Amsterdam’s harbor, with some international travel likely;
  • A job with a very international outlook in a dynamic, ever-changing, and fun industry;
  • Direct contact with data partners and clients;
  • Opportunity and tools to develop your skills, apply your unique talents, and shape your future career;
  • Be part of a fast-growing, ambitious, young, and energetic team.
